Data & Account Deletion

Last updated: July 26, 2026

GameCrew is a real-time multiplayer app, so some game data (your display name, game codes, scores, and game state) is transmitted between devices to keep everyone's scoreboard in sync. This page explains how to remove your data. See our Privacy Policy for what is handled and why.

Remove your data from a game

Game data is kept only as long as needed to operate and sync an active game. Once a game ends, it is no longer maintained as a live session.

Request deletion by email

To ask us to delete any data associated with you that we can identify — including, if an account exists for you, your account and its data — email us and we will process your request:

Email a deletion request

kristofer@neyens.com — please send from the email tied to your use of the app, if any, and tell us the display name(s) you used so we can locate your data.

What is removed

We will delete data we hold that is associated with your request, except anything we must keep to comply with law or to resolve disputes. Because scores are shared live with other people in a game, information already seen by other participants during a game cannot be recalled from their memory or their own screenshots.

Owner note (visible only to you): GameCrew's account model is unconfirmed. This page is written as an honest baseline that works whether or not the shipping build has accounts: if there is no sign-in (join-by-code with a display name only), the "leave/end game + delete app" steps are the full deletion path and the email route is a backstop. If the build does have accounts or a server that retains data after games end, confirm the exact account-deletion steps, where data lives, and its retention window, and update this page and the App Store data-deletion metadata to match. See NOTES.md.
